Privacy Notice — Installer Applications
David Liddle Plumbing & Heating Services ("we", "us") is the data controller for information you provide when applying to join our installer network.

What we collect: Your name, contact details, postcode coverage areas, business information (UTR, VAT status), bank details, and compliance documents including your Gas Safe registration, public liability insurance, employers' liability insurance (where applicable), DBS certificate, and right-to-work evidence.

Why we collect it: To assess your application, verify your qualifications and legal compliance, and — if successful — to contract with you and pay you. Our lawful bases are: taking steps prior to entering a contract, our legal obligations (right-to-work checks, tax reporting under CIS), and our legitimate interest in engaging qualified, insured, safe engineers.

Where it's stored: Application data is held in our system and associated business systems. We do not sell your data. We share it only where required — e.g. for CIS purposes, or with our insurers or legal advisers where necessary.

How long we keep it: If your application is unsuccessful or withdrawn, we delete your compliance documents within 6 months of the decision. If you join our network, we retain records for the duration of the relationship plus 6 years after it ends, in line with tax and legal requirements.

Verification: We check your Gas Safe registration against the public Gas Safe Register as part of vetting.

Your rights: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and may withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Contact us at [email protected]. If unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Automated processing and AI: We use automated screening to check your application against our minimum requirements (Gas Safe registration, insurance, and right to work). If your application does not meet these requirements, it may be declined automatically based on the answers you provide. You may ask us to review any automated decision by contacting us at the email below. We also use digital assistants to help manage communications during the application process.

Communications: By applying, you agree we may contact you about your application by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp. Marketing communications are sent only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
